An intentional choice

I am just updating my website and realised.... I really don't like spending time on technology, I genuinely struggle with that aspect of life. You see, I spent a good 20 years staring at screens, every day. I'm totally done with it. And I'm totally ready to make intentional choices, whenever and wherever I can... as long as I remember to.

So what is an intentional choice? Well I chose to spend as little times as I can sat at a screen, which means.... my website isn't going to be great, or updated regularly. I'll have very little photography and content, and not many products online to sell. But it's ok, because it is my intentional choice. I trust that my honouring of my choices and only really doing what I want to is what the universe wants me to do. I trust that the universe doesn't want me to compromise on the joy I can feel in my heart in each and every moment. And to feel that joy, we must do things that make us joyful.

This is an easy concept to say, but not quite so easy to embody. We are programmed to suffer, we are programmed to work hard and ignore the signals from our body when it has had enough. We are programmed to push through, because we are living in a system of corporate slavery, and we have been fast asleep to that fact. Until you're not. Until you're awake. And once you can see it for what it is, then there is no going back. No unseeing.

But just because we can see the reality of the bigger picture, doesn't mean we can see all the unseen bits inside ourselves. That is a long and very real and raw process, where in order to know thyself, we must experience ourselves for all that we are. Even the bits we don't want to see. And those bits we didn't know existed at all.

But then we begin to come into peace with all our 'bits' exposed and then integrated one by one.

So back to intentional choices. At the stage of integration I have currently reached of my healing journey, my intentional choice is that right now, to be in recovery from screen exhaustion and honour that I now have a choice to say 'no' to the corporation.
